Two Police Officers Suspended after assault on accused

Janjgir-Champa: After a case of assault on an accused during police custody came to light, taking immediate action,  the District Superintendent of Police, Vijay Kumar Pandey ,suspended two senior police officers  with immediate effect.
 The action was taken against,  senior police officers from, Bamhanidih police station area of ​​Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh. Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Sunil Tagore and police station in-charge Bhawani Singh Chauhan were involved in the incident and attached to the Reserve Center Janjgir. 

Accused Thakur Singh Chandrabhas was kept in police custody, booked under Crime number 62/25 registered on July 26 at Bamhanidih police station, under sections 331 (1), 296, 351 (3), 115 (2), 118 (1) B.N.S.  during which ASI Sunil Tagore assaulted the accused, which comes under the category of serious indiscipline towards duty.

 Deputy Inspector KP Singh, who was previously posted at the protected center, has been appointed as the new station in-charge.

Discipline is paramount in the discharge of duty by the policemen, and any kind of excesses or negligence will not be tolerated said the order issued by SP of the district.
