The first of Mother Earth was taken on October 24th 1946 by a camera mounted on V2 ROCKET which was launched from "White Sands Missile Range" the historic image mount a significant milestone in space exploration which capture the planet earth from an altitude of 65 miles.

It was a 35 mm motion picture camera which was mounted on German V2 ballistic missile & captured the image of Mother Earth. The motion picture camera took a frame every 1.5 seconds during the rockets ascent. After the missile crashed back to earth the film was recovered and was developed wich revealed the first image of Earth from space.
This image consists of a great significance which provided humanity with its first glimpse of Earth from beyond its atmosphere which changed everyone perspective of the planet geography who thought the earth was flat or who thought the earth was round.
The rocket was launched from white science missile range which was in new Mexico.
