 Raipur, August 9 — The second day of the Climate Connect Workshop, held in Raipur, witnessed an insightful session focused on advancing climate action plans and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Organized by the State Center for Climate Change, the workshop aims to create a platform for meaningful discussions and strategies towards a sustainable future.

Dr. Anil Shrivastav, a distinguished representative of the State Center for Climate Change, took center stage to present the draft State Climate Action Plan. Dr. Shrivastav eloquently highlighted the key objectives, targets, and proposed actions in the plan, emphasizing the critical role of all sectors in addressing climate challenges.

Following the enlightening presentation, the workshop transitioned into a dynamic group activity. Representatives from various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) gathered in thematic area groups to collaborate and contribute their expertise. Each group was tasked with providing recommendations aligned with their respective thematic areas, reflecting a comprehensive approach to tackling climate issues.

The interactive group sessions sparked lively discussions and brought forward a range of innovative ideas and solutions. Participants engaged fervently, leveraging their diverse perspectives to formulate actionable recommendations that can potentially shape the trajectory of the state's climate action plan.

The day concluded with a closing note by Srijita Sircar, State Coordinator, IGSSS, underlining the importance of collective efforts in realizing climate goals. Ms. Sircar expressed her gratitude to all attendees for their active participation and shared her optimism for the positive impact that these collaborative initiatives could have on the state's climate resilience.
