We usually have heard about the train getting delayed for around 1 hour to 5 hours or for even 16 hour but there was a train which was late for around 35,000 hour which estimates as 1,460 days that is almost 4 years.
It was a goods train which was departed from Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district with 1,000 bags of fertilizers to Uttar Pradesh's basti district. The train was to cover a distance of 1400 km in around 42 hours.
This incident happened due to a technical error which said the train was unfit & then was removed from the running track and was sent to repair house. After filing a complaint by the business man for his fertilizers . The government started to search for the goods train but the government itself was failed & was not able to track the train.
After 4 years on 2018 the train reached it's destination Basti in uttarpradesh with loss of crores amount of fertilizers.
This incident is also known as the biggest blunder by Indian Railways.
